Art as a self-care practice
Cancer season is upon us, a time for nurturing ourselves and cultivating emotional well-being. It's the perfect opportunity to prioritize self-care and invest in your cultivating your inner strength. One of my favourite self-care practice is sketch-booking. Keeping an art sketchbook is my yoga.
A breath of fresh air
Today I'd like to take you with me on a little adventure:
Sit back and imagine yourself walking down a long, intriguing hallway lined with art and books. Feel your worries melt away with each step. The air is still and silent, filled with a sense of anticipation.
THE LOGICAL LUMINARY
Your super sense is your inner logic. This super sense is the only one that is not linked to a sensory organ. You navigate life with a clear mind and sharp reasoning. You have the potential to channel this clarity into creative expression, unlocking new possibilities for growth.
THE GUSTATORY GURU
Your super sense is taste. In a world dominated by visual and auditory experiences, your extraordinary sense of taste sets you apart as someone finely tuned to savor life's rich offerings. With your refined palate, you possess the uncanny ability to pull together the most unexpected elements into a delightful harmony. You savor life's flavors with unapologetic gusto, spreading delight all around you. For you, life is an exquisite banquet, and every flavor is a note in a symphony of tastes.
THE KINESTHETIC CAPTAIN
Your super sense is touch. In a world buzzing with sights and sounds, your extraordinary super sense sets you apart. You navigate the world with a sensitive touch, feeling every texture and vibration. Your sense of touch allows you to receive information about your internal (feel) and external (touch) environments. You feel the world intensely, with a profound sense of connection to others and your surroundings. You easily get a handle on energies in motion. With golden hands and a big heart, this sensitivity is a powerful tool for fostering deep, fulfilling relationships.

You have a nose for the subtlest scents, guiding you through life's aromatic tapestry. With your keen ability to detect something the minute anything seems off and to connect deeply to memories and emotions, you have the potential to enjoy life's fragrant moments. YOUR SPECIAL ABILITIES: Your nose isn't just a tool for detecting pleasant aromas; it's a gateway to a realm of emotions, memories, and subtle cues that others might overlook. Your super sense is hearing. Attuned to life's symphony, you find rhythm and balance in the sounds around you. An excellent listener, you are able to foster deep connections. You have the potential to hear the whispers of the world. For you, every sound tells a story. YOUR SPECIAL ABILITIES: What you hear is more important than what you see or feel. You prefer to talk things through. Very attuned to tone, pace and the quality of sounds, you love music and may even play well. You are also very attuned to tone of voice and precise language - you remember exactly what other people said. You can hear what’s being said between the lines.
THE VISUAL VIRTUOSO

With your vivid imagination, you paint your world in vibrant colors.Your visual acuity helps you imagine possibilities and create a beautiful, authentic life. YOUR SPECIAL ABILITIES: You look at the world through visual images and understand by making pictures of the meaning.
What's Your Super Sense?
Using our senses is how we first gather information about the world around us. Our five senses - sight, taste, touch, hearing and smell – as well as our sense of logic, collect information about our environment that are interpreted by the brain. They are also the way our body sends important messages to us, and the way our intuition converses with us. Is this situation right for you? Is this person healthy for you? Why do we think and act in a certain way? What to do next? Why do we just click with some people and others we just don’t?
How to find joy again as a Highly Sensitive Person
Dear Highly Sensitive Person, Picture this: It's the last month of the year, it's getting colder by the day (that is if you live in the Northern Hemisphere), the holidays are coming fast, and you can't help feeling some pressure creeping up. It dawns on you that the year is almost gone, and you didn't manage to achieve all the things you had planned to back in January. So instead, you decide to approach December differently. What if you were slowing down instead? What could that look like?
